Sagitta Global is a London-based commodity and chemicals intelligence firm. We deliver primary-source sector intelligence to trading houses, hedge funds, and industrial corporates.
We are early-stage, intentionally built, and moving fast. Our first commercial product — the Sector Intelligence Service (SIS) — is live and ready to close. We need the person who closes it.
The Role
This is a commercial role, not a marketing role. Your job is to take Sagitta's research product to the right clients, build the relationships, and convert them into signed retainers and intelligence mandates. You will own the pipeline from first conversation to closed contract — and build the commercial function around you as the firm scales. You will report directly to the CEO.
What You'll Do
– Build and own the commercial pipeline across target segments: mid-market trading houses, commodity-focused hedge funds, and industrial corporates with active procurement or M&A activity
– Lead all client conversations from initial outreach through to contract execution — this is a closing role
– Develop relationships with research buyers, heads of strategy, CIOs, and senior analysts at target firms
– Work with the CEO and Head of SIS to translate market intelligence into commercially compelling propositions
– Define and refine the go-to-market approach, including targeting criteria, pricing strategy, and outreach sequencing
– Represent Sagitta at industry events and in the commodity and natural resources investment community
– Provide direct market feedback to shape the SIS product roadmap
What We're Looking For
– A track record of selling research, intelligence, or advisory services to institutional clients
– Existing relationships in commodity trading, natural resources investment, or related industrial sectors
– Commercial instinct: you know which conversations to prioritise, when to push, and when to wait
– Credibility in the room — you can hold a senior conversation at a trading house or hedge fund without a safety net
– Comfort with early-stage: no large team behind you, no brand recognition yet. You build those things
– Precise, professional communication — written and spoken. Our clients are institutional. Our standards reflect that
