About the Role
We are a private family office overseeing a diversified portfolio across eight distinct business verticals, including [list verticals — e.g., real estate, media/production, hospitality, consumer brands, etc.]. We’re seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer to bring structure, clarity, and strategic financial leadership across this multi-entity operation.
This is a high-trust, high-visibility role. We’re starting with a paid trial period to ensure mutual fit before transitioning into a long-term position with expanded responsibility — including potential involvement in business development as the relationship grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial operations, reporting, and cash flow across all verticals
- Build and maintain financial systems, controls, and reporting cadences for a multi-entity structure
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and treasury functions
- Liaise with banks, accountants, attorneys, and outside advisors
- Provide clear, regular financial reporting to ownership/leadership
- Support strategic decision-making across active and emerging business lines
- As trust is established, contribute to business development initiatives tied to growth across verticals
Qualifications
- 8–10+ years in senior finance leadership; family office, multi-entity, or holding company experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage finances across diverse, fast-moving business lines
- High discretion, integrity, and comfort working directly with ownership
- Strong Excel/financial systems proficiency
- Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable building structure where it doesn’t yet exist
Trial Period Structure
This role begins with a paid evaluation period at $1,000/week. Upon demonstrated performance and mutual fit, compensation transitions to a full package commensurate with experience and scope.
