Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Operations Specialist to support and enhance the effectiveness of our sales organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing sales processes, CRM administration, reporting, forecasting support, and operational initiatives that help drive sales productivity and business growth.
This role requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across sales, marketing, finance, and customer success teams.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Operations & Process Management
- Support the execution and continuous improvement of sales processes, workflows, and operational best practices.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance sales productivity.
- Ensure adherence to sales policies, procedures, and governance standards.
CRM Administration & Data Management
- Manage and maintain CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar tools.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across sales systems.
- Support user onboarding, training, and troubleshooting of CRM-related issues.
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and workflows within the CRM.
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop regular sales performance reports and dashboards for leadership review.
- Analyze pipeline, bookings, conversion rates, and other key sales metrics.
- Provide actionable insights to support decision-making and revenue growth initiatives.
- Monitor data quality and maintain reporting accuracy.
Sales Forecasting Support
- Assist sales leaders in maintaining sales forecasts and pipeline reviews.
- Track performance against targets and identify potential risks or opportunities.
- Support quarterly and annual planning exercises through data analysis.
Territory & Quota Administration
- Assist in territory planning and account assignments.
- Support quota allocation and performance tracking activities.
- Provide analysis to optimize territory coverage and resource utilization.
Sales Compensation Support
- Support sales incentive and commission calculations.
- Validate sales achievement data and ensure accurate reporting.
- Assist with commission-related queries and reconciliation activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Success, and Product teams to support business initiatives.
- Coordinate operational activities related to lead management, pipeline tracking, and reporting.
- Ensure alignment of systems, processes, and data across departments.
Documentation & Governance
- Maintain process documentation, SOPs, and operational guidelines.
- Support compliance with organizational policies and audit requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation of sales workflows and system changes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Business Operations, or Sales Analytics.
- Experience supporting SaaS, Cloud, Technology, or B2B sales organizations.
- Hands-on experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and reporting tools.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with sales reporting and dashboard creation.
- Knowledge of sales pipeline management and forecasting processes.
- Proficiency in CRM administration and data management.
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business model.
- Knowledge of sales compensation and incentive programs.
- Experience with sales automation and workflow tools.
- Salesforce Administrator certification or equivalent CRM certifications.
- Exposure to Revenue Operations (RevOps) practices and methodologies.
