About the Role
We are looking to hire a highly accomplished Chief Sales Officer – Pan India Channel Sales to lead SRMB’s complete channel sales business across India.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening the dealer-distributor network, expanding market share, improving sales systems, and leading large regional, zonal, state, and field sales teams.
The ideal candidate should have deep experience in the steel or cement industry, strong pan-India channel sales exposure, and a proven track record of scaling dealer-led businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the Pan India channel sales strategy.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share expansion.
- Strengthen and expand the dealer and distributor network.
- Drive primary and secondary sales growth across regions.
- Lead Regional, Zonal, State, Area, and Sales teams across India.
- Improve dealer productivity, market coverage, and sales discipline.
- Identify new markets, territories, and growth opportunities.
- Oversee sales forecasting, pricing inputs, collections discipline, and profitability.
- Build strong systems for sales reviews, performance tracking, and execution.
- Work closely with marketing, branding, supply chain, finance, and plant teams to ensure business growth.
- Create sustainable competitive advantage in channel sales and distribution.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree mandatory.
- MBA in Marketing / Sales preferred.
- Engineering background preferred, but not mandatory.
Required Experience & Skills
- 22+ years of experience in Steel, TMT, Structural Steel, or Cement industry.
- Minimum 10+ years in senior sales leadership roles.
- Strong Pan India Channel Sales experience.
- Proven experience in dealer and distributor management.
- Experience managing large sales teams across multiple regions.
- Strong understanding of primary sales, secondary sales, pricing, schemes, collections, and market development.
- Stable employer tenure and consistent career progression.
- Strong leadership, execution discipline, and business ownership mindset.
Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have experience leading large-scale channel sales operations in companies from the steel, TMT, structural steel, cement, or allied building materials sector.
Preference will be given to candidates who have handled large dealer-distributor networks, managed multi-state sales teams, and delivered measurable growth in highly competitive markets.
