Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Elite Placement Group is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Chief Financial Officer on behalf of a well-established and growing organization with annual revenues exceeding $250 million. This executive leadership opportunity is ideal for a strategic finance professional who is ready to partner with ownership and senior leadership to drive financial performance, operational excellence, and long-term growth.
The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive team, overseeing the organization's financial strategy while supporting operations, growth initiatives, and long-term planning.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
• Lead all accounting, finance, and financial reporting functions
• Oversee monthly and annual financial reporting
• Manage percentage of completion accounting, WIP reporting, and revenue recognition
• Ensure accurate job costing and financial reporting
• Coordinate annual audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting
Cash Flow & Working Capital
• Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and banking relationships
• Maintain rolling cash flow forecasts and working capital analysis
• Oversee accounts receivable, collections, subcontractor payments, and retainage
• Optimize financing arrangements and credit facilities
Operations & Risk Management
• Partner with operational leadership to evaluate project financial performance
• Review cost to complete projections, margins, contingencies, and claims exposure
• Identify operational and financial risks while developing mitigation strategies
• Participate in executive project review meetings
Strategic Leadership
• Collaborate with ownership on strategic planning and growth initiatives
• Evaluate acquisitions, market expansion opportunities, and major investments
• Develop executive KPI dashboards and performance metrics
• Drive financial systems, internal controls, and process improvements
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA preferred
• 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience
• Strong background in project-based accounting, WIP schedules, and percentage of completion accounting
• Experience managing banking, lending, and surety relationships
• Expertise with ERP and project management systems
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills
Preferred Experience
• Experience overseeing complex, project-based organizations
• Experience managing large project portfolios and backlogs
• Familiarity with Premier, Sage, Procore, or similar ERP platforms
