Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Business Planning
* Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with business growth
objectives.
* Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and profitability analysis.
* Provide strategic financial insights to founders and leadership for key business
decisions.
* Monitor cash flow, working capital, and capital allocation to ensure sustainable
growth.
Investor Relations & Fundraising
* Act as the primary liaison between the organization and existing/potential investors.
* Prepare investor presentations, financial models, due diligence documents, and
board reports.
* Lead fundraising initiatives including equity, debt, and strategic investments.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, venture capital firms, private
equity funds, and financial institutions.
* Ensure transparent and timely communication of business performance to
stakeholders.
ESOP Design & Implementation
* Design, structure, and implement Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
frameworks.
* Coordinate with legal, compliance, and tax advisors to ensure seamless ESOP
execution.
* Educate leadership and employees regarding ESOP policies, benefits, and vesting
structures.
* Manage ESOP valuation, administration, and compliance requirements.
Investor Exit & Liquidity Planning
* Develop and execute strategies for investor liquidity and exit opportunities.
* Coordinate secondary transactions, buybacks, strategic acquisitions, mergers, or
other exit mechanisms.
* Work closely with investors, legal advisors, and founders to facilitate smooth investor
exits.
* Support valuation exercises and transaction negotiations.
Financial Governance & Compliance
* Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, taxation, and corporate governance
requirements.
* Oversee audits, financial reporting, risk management, and internal controls.
* Manage relationships with auditors, bankers, legal advisors, and regulatory
authorities.
* Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and MIS reports.
Business Expansion & Corporate Development
* Evaluate strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and expansion opportunities.
* Conduct financial due diligence and investment analysis for growth initiatives.
* Support long-term business planning and enterprise value creation.
Qualifications & Experience
* Chartered Accountant (CA)
* 10+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in D2C,
retail, fashion, consumer brands, startups, or growth-stage companies.
* Proven experience in fundraising, investor management, ESOP implementation, and
transaction execution.
* Strong understanding of corporate finance, valuation, mergers & acquisitions, and
capital markets.
* Experience working directly with founders, boards, investors, and external advisors.
