Interim CFO | Consumer Business | London | Immediate Start
A well-established, founder-led consumer business in London is seeking an experienced Interim CFO to provide immediate support during a critical period.
This is a profitable business with an excellent brand. The business requires an experienced finance leader who can quickly assess the situation, bring clarity to cash management and work alongside the founder to stabilise its short-term position.
The immediate focus will be on:
- Building robust short-term cash flow forecasts and liquidity planning.
- Managing banking relationships and leading funding discussions.
- Reviewing working capital and identifying opportunities to improve cash generation.
- Providing clear financial insight to support commercial decision-making.
- Bringing calm, credibility and experience to the leadership team during a time of heightened focus.
This is not a turnaround of a failing business. The underlying business is profitable, enjoys a strong market position and has built an excellent reputation within the consumer sector. The challenge is navigating a short-term cash issue with the support of an experienced CFO.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous Interim CFO experience within a consumer-facing business (retail, ecommerce, consumer products or similar).
- A strong track record of cash management, forecasting and stakeholder management.
- Experience dealing with banks and funding partners.
- The confidence to work closely with an entrepreneurial founder and operate as a trusted adviser.
- The ability to start immediately.
Initially expected to be around 3 months, although there is genuine flexibility. Depending on the outcome and mutual fit, this could remain a short-term assignment or evolve into a longer-term CFO opportunity.
