🎯 The Role — Fractional CFO
We’re looking for an experienced Fractional Chief Financial Officer to partner directly with the Founder & CEO on financial strategy, fundraising, financial operations, and long-term company planning.
This is not a bookkeeping or controller role.
We’re looking for a strategic finance leader who can help shape company decisions, improve financial discipline, support fundraising, and build scalable financial infrastructure for a high-growth AI startup.
You’ll work closely with leadership and investors while helping the company prepare for future financing, expansion, and operational scale.
🔧 What You’ll Do💰 Financial Strategy & Planning
- Partner directly with the Founder & CEO on financial strategy and long-term planning
- Build and maintain operating models, forecasts, and cash flow projections
- Develop annual budgets and strategic financial plans
- Provide recommendations on capital allocation and business investments
📈 Fundraising & Investor Relations
- Support equity fundraising, venture financing, and strategic partnerships
- Prepare investor materials including financial models, board decks, and KPI reporting
- Assist with financial due diligence and data room preparation
- Help communicate company performance and financial health to investors
📊 Financial Operations
- Establish scalable financial processes and internal controls
- Review monthly financial statements and key operating metrics
- Monitor burn rate, runway, revenue growth, and unit economics
- Improve forecasting accuracy and financial reporting cadence
📉 Business Performance & Analytics
- Build executive dashboards tracking ARR, MRR, CAC, LTV, gross margin, runway, and cash position
- Analyze business performance across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Operations
- Support pricing strategy, revenue planning, and profitability analysis
- Identify financial risks and opportunities as the business scales
🤝 Strategic Partner to Leadership
- Participate in executive planning and major business decisions
- Provide financial guidance on hiring, compensation, expansion, and acquisitions
- Collaborate with legal, accounting, tax, payroll, and external finance partners
- Help establish financial discipline across the organization
💡 What You Bring
✅ 8+ years of experience in Finance, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital, or CFO leadership roles
✅ Prior experience as a CFO or Fractional CFO for a venture-backed startup
✅ Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning skills
✅ Deep understanding of SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, CAC, LTV, Gross Margin, Burn Multiple, Runway)
✅ Experience supporting venture fundraising and investor reporting
✅ Ability to translate financial insights into business decisions
✅ Excellent communication skills with founders, investors, and executive teams
✅ Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous startup environments

Preferred Qualifications (LinkedIn Requirements)
- 8+ years of experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital, or CFO leadership
- 3+ years serving as CFO or Fractional CFO for a venture-backed startup
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting institutional fundraising (Seed through Series B+)
- Strong experience with financial modeling, board reporting, and investor relations
- Experience managing financial strategy for companies with $1M+ ARR preferred
