Summary
This role is for someone who thrives on solving complex problems, getting things done, and leading a team through it all — not just strategizing from the sidelines, but rolling up their sleeves and executing. You've built operational systems, driven cross-functional alignment, and delivered results in fast-moving environments. As Deel's Associate Director of Sales Operations, you'll blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution, with a genuine opportunity to shape the function from the inside. No direct Sales Operations experience is required. We are looking for someone who is eager to take their operational expertise into the engine that drives growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage key sales operations processes, including territory design, sales forecasting, pipeline management, and compensation planning.
- Implement and optimize sales systems and tools (e.g., CRM, analytics platforms) to ensure data accuracy and improve sales productivity.
- Provide actionable insights to sales leadership through regular reporting and analysis of sales performance metrics.
- Develop and maintain sales performance dashboards, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams.
- Collaborate with sales, finance, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of sales processes.
- Manage sales compensation processes, ensuring alignment with company goals and timely commission payouts.
- Design and implement sales enablement programs to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the sales team.
- Assist in the creation and refinement of sales processes, ensuring scalability and effectiveness as Deel grows.
- Work closely with leadership to define and track sales KPIs and ensure they are met.
- Lead or participate in special projects related to sales operations, including system implementations and process enhancements.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in operations, business operations, strategy & operations, or a related field, with at least 3 years leading or managing a team.
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and improve operational processes at scale — in any function.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing cross-functional programs and building alignment across teams like finance, marketing, or customer success.
- Comfortable working with CRM or business systems (Salesforce familiarity is a plus, not a requirement) and a track record of driving tool adoption or process change.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills — able to earn trust quickly and drive change across levels of the organization.
- Highly organized, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
- Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools to drive operational change and measurable business impact — not just familiarity, but a track record of embedding AI into workflows, decision-making, or team processes in a meaningful way. Strongly preferred.
- Experience with compensation planning, forecasting, or pipeline management is a plus, but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in business, operations, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.

- Our salary range reflects gross base salary. For commercial roles with commission eligibility, this figure represents On-Target Earnings (OTE), inclusive of base salary and target commission.

- Final pay is based on objective, job-related criteria including experience, skills, and location.
