Northpointe Council is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team. This position provides financial leadership and oversight for a well-established nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve.
The CFO partners closely with the President/CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leadership to ensure the organization's long-term financial stability while supporting our mission through sound fiscal management and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership for all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, payroll, grants management, and medical billing oversight.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and long-range financial planning.
- Oversee financial reporting, audits, regulatory filings, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and grant requirements.
- Supervise and develop finance department staff while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and the Board of Directors to support strategic decision-making and organizational growth.
- Maintain strong relationships with auditors, financial institutions, consultants, and funding agencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting, finance, or fiscal management experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or management experience.
- Experience with nonprofit financial management, budgeting, grants, audits, and regulatory compliance preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial management software.
