Business Operations Analyst

Job Summary
Freddie Mac is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to join the Mercury Product Management Team. This role supports the Mercury Plus ICM and FAS Forecasting platforms by providing production support, data analysis, forecasting assistance, and application management.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and Excel, and knowledge of fixed income and financial analytics. Candidates with a technical or development background and prior production support experience are highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide production support for Mercury Plus applications, including assigned evening and weekend support rotations.
- Respond to user inquiries and resolve application-related issues in production and lower environments.
- Support the development and enhancement of Mercury Plus ICM and FAS forecasting engines.
- Assist with calculating impacts related to future model deployments.
- Perform end-to-end testing for forecasting engines.
- Monitor application performance and communicate trends to stakeholders.
- Support environment maintenance and management activities.
- Develop automation tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Assist with project management activities related to ICM and FAS forecasting initiatives.
- Analyze large datasets to support business and operational needs.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in Business Operations, Data Analysis, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with:
- Python scripting
- SQL
- Microsoft Excel
- Experience analyzing large datasets.
- Knowledge of Fixed Income and/or Financial Analytics.
- Experience supporting mission-critical applications.
- Experience with JIRA, including dashboard creation and ticket management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work one week per month during evening and weekend production support rotations.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or another quantitative discipline.
