Network Cabling Services (NCS) is a privately held technology infrastructure and systems integration company approaching $100 million in annual revenue. We provide structured cabling, fiber optics, audio visual, security, and technology integration solutions for commercial and industrial customers across Texas.
As we continue to grow, we are seeking a hands-on, business-minded Chief Financial Officer to lead our finance and accounting function, strengthen financial visibility, and serve as a strategic partner to ownership and executive leadership.
This is more than a traditional accounting role. We are looking for a leader who can protect the integrity of our financial operations while helping the business understand what the numbers mean and how they drive better decisions.
What You’ll Lead:
• Financial reporting, monthly close, and accounting operations
• Cash flow forecasting and working capital management
• WIP reporting, job costing, project profitability, and margin analysis
• Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Banking, bonding, CPA, insurance, and external financial relationships
• AP, AR, billing, payroll, purchasing, and accounting team leadership
• Internal controls, process improvements, and reporting enhancements
• Executive-level financial insights and business recommendations

• Delivering accurate, timely, and actionable financial reporting
• Improving visibility into project performance, margins, backlog, and cash flow
• Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities before they impact the business
• Strengthening job-cost accuracy and WIP reporting
• Helping leadership make informed decisions through meaningful financial insights
• Building and developing a scalable finance organization
We’re Looking For:
A trusted finance leader who is analytical, strategic, and comfortable working closely with operations and executive leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience in a privately held, entrepreneurial, construction, contracting, technology infrastructure, engineering, or project-based environment.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• 5+ years leading accounting or finance teams
• Experience with WIP reporting, job costing, revenue recognition, and project financial analysis
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and variance analysis
• Experience working with banks, bonding companies, CPA firms, and insurance partners
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
• Strong communication skills with both financial and non-financial leaders
Preferred Qualifications:
• CPA preferred, but not required
• Prior CFO, VP of Finance, Controller, or senior finance leadership experience
• Experience supporting companies with $50M–$250M in revenue
• Experience with construction accounting systems, ERP systems, dashboards, or financial reporting improvements
Compensation:
Competitive senior-level six-figure compensation package, including base salary and performance incentive opportunity, commensurate with experience.
