Your New Role
Boly:Welch is proud to partner with Schnitzer Properties at a pivotal moment in its evolution to find their next CFO.
As Chief Financial Officer, you’ll serve as a strategic partner to the President, guiding financial strategy, strengthening operations, and helping position the company for continued growth across a multi-state portfolio.
A family-owned, legacy organization, Schnitzer Properties and its President, Jordan Schnitzer, are dedicated to the city of Portland and the Pacific Northwest. Applicants with a passion for philanthropy, art, and the beauty of our city will quickly fall in step with this role.
In tandem with the President, you’ll lead the Accounting, Finance, IT, and Tax functions, building on a strong foundation while identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen reporting, and support informed decision-making. Beyond ensuring the integrity of the organization’s financial operations, you’ll help translate financial insights into business strategy, partnering with leaders across the company to evaluate opportunities, navigate risk, and drive sustainable growth.
This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who enjoys balancing strategy with execution. You’ll oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, cash management, and corporate reporting while mentoring an experienced team and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Success in this role requires both technical expertise and the communications acumen to liase on a large scale. You’re comfortable managing complexity across multiple entities and locations, but you also know that the best financial leaders spend as much time building relationships as they do building models. You’ll be a trusted advisor to the President, providing thoughtful guidance that helps move the business forward.
If you’re looking for the opportunity to influence strategy, develop high-performing teams, and make a meaningful impact on the future of a growing organization and Portland, we’d love to connect.
This position is based in downtown Portland and functions primarily onsite, with occasional travel to offices in Washington, Arizona, and Nevada.
