Pangea has been retained on behalf of an ambitious, privately backed energy business seeking to appoint a commercially focused Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team.
The business operates across the energy sector and is entering a significant period of strategic growth through acquisitions, capital raising and international expansion. This is an opportunity to help shape the finance function of a company with genuine long-term growth ambitions.
The Opportunity
Working closely with the CEO and Board, the CFO will lead all aspects of corporate finance while acting as a strategic partner to the business.
Key priorities include:
- Building a best-in-class finance function
- Leading financial strategy and planning
- Supporting M&A activity and business integration
- Managing banking and lender relationships
- Leading investor and shareholder reporting
- Driving budgeting, forecasting and cash management
- Supporting debt and equity fundraising initiatives
- Developing financial controls, governance and reporting
- Building and mentoring a high-performing finance team
Ideal Background
We're interested in senior finance leaders with experience in one or more of:
- Energy
- Oil & Gas
- Infrastructure
- Renewables
- Industrial Services
- Engineering
- Private Equity-backed businesses
Experience in the following would be highly advantageous:
- M&A transactions
- Corporate finance
- Debt financing
- Equity fundraising
- Investor relations
- International operations
- Building finance functions within high-growth businesses
Profile
- CPA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification
- Proven CFO, Finance Director or VP Finance experience
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial judgement
- Comfortable operating within entrepreneurial environments
- Excellent communicator with Board-level presence
- Hands-on leader capable of scaling a growing business
