Chief Financial Officer – Growing Construction Platform | Gulf Coast

The Opportunity
- Partner directly with the Executive team
- Lead finance across a growing, multi-company construction platform
- Support future acquisitions, integrations, and strategic expansion
- Build scalable systems, reporting tools, controls, and financial process
- Develop the finance team and improve accountability across the wider busine
- Influence capital allocation and operational decisions beyond the finance function
Key Areas of Responsibility
Financial and Strategic Leaders
- Lead accounting, finance, treasury, budgeting, and financial report
- Deliver timely and accurate monthly report
- Own forecasting and long-range financial plann
- Develop meaningful financial and operational K
- Support board, lender, and investor report
- Provide financial insight around acquisitions, investment, and growth initiative
Construction and Project Finance
- Strengthen job-costing and project-accounting processes
- Improve visibility into backlog, committed costs, cost to complete, and project cash flow
- Monitor project margins, labour performance, and operational trends
- Partner with estimating and project teams to improve commercial decision-makers
- Support project reviews, change management, forecasting, and margin protect
Team and Process Development
- Lead and develop the accounting and finance team
- Strengthen communication between finance and operations
- Build scalable reporting and control processes
- Support ERP, business-intelligence, and reporting improvements
- Promote ownership, accountability, and continuous improvements
Required Background
- CFO-level financial leadership experience within construction
- Experience supporting a business generating more than $50-$100 million in annual revenue
- At least 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience
Strong knowledge of:
- Job-cost accounting
- WIP accounting
- Percentage-of-completion accounting
- Cost-to-complete forecasting
- Cash-flow forecasting
- Banking and lender relations
- Budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A
- Proven experience partnering directly with operational and executive leader
- Experience leading and developing accounting and finance teams
- CPA certification strongly preferred
