Business Operations Coordinator (Full Time / Part Time)
Reporting to: Business Operations Manager
The Opportunity
Cricket St Thomas Golf Club is growing!
Following the recent acquisition and successful reopening of Cricket St Thomas Country Inn (formerly The Windwhistle Inn), we're looking for an organised, personable and highly computer-literate Business Operations Coordinator to support our Business Operations Manager during an exciting period of growth.
This is far more than a traditional administration role. Working across both the Golf Club and Country Inn, you'll become an integral part of our day-to-day operations, supporting memberships, events, marketing, administration and business development.
If you enjoy variety, thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in being organised and efficient, we'd love to hear from you.
The Highlights
We believe in looking after our team. Alongside a competitive rate of pay, you'll receive:
- Healthy Lifestyle: Free Golf & Gym Membership.
- The Rewards: A fair share of tips plus generous staff discounts across both venues.
- Growth: Join two ambitious local businesses that are expanding rapidly.
- Variety: Work across both the Golf Club and Country Inn, with no two days the same.
- Development: The opportunity to learn new skills and grow within a successful, family-owned business.
No Two Days Are The Same
Working closely with the Business Operations Manager, you'll help organise and support the day-to-day running of two busy hospitality and leisure businesses.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing enquiries relating to events, golf memberships, gym memberships and general business enquiries.
- Managing the administration of golf and gym memberships, including new memberships, monthly payments and annual renewals.
- Managing the complete event booking journey, from initial enquiry and customer show rounds through to payment, final event details and post-event customer feedback.
- Building relationships with new and existing corporate clients, sponsors and business partners.
- Assisting with the delivery of marketing activities across our website, social media platforms and members' communications.
- Creating and updating posters, menus and promotional material using Canva or similar software (training can be provided).
- Updating EPOS systems with menus, pricing and promotional activity.
- Assisting with accounts administration and HR administration as required.
- Supporting the wider management team with general business administration and operational projects.
- Undertaking any other day-to-day administration duties required to support the business.
- Being willing to learn our EPOS systems and, on occasion, assist with bar or event shifts at either venue when business needs require.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and able to learn new software quickly.
- Computer literate with strong administrative skills.
- Friendly, approachable and professional.
- An excellent communicator, both in person and over the telephone.
- Able to prioritise workloads and remain calm under pressure.
- Positive, hardworking and enthusiastic.
- Open to learning, feedback and continuous improvement.
- Flexible and willing to work occasional weekends when required.
Previous office or administration experience is preferred but not essential. More important to us is finding someone with the right attitude, excellent organisational skills and a genuine willingness to learn.
