As they continue their growth trajectory, we are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join the executive leadership team and help drive operational excellence, financial performance, and long-term value creation.
Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as the senior financial executive and is a key member of the executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the Managing Partners, the CFO is responsible for developing and executing the company's financial strategy while providing leadership across accounting, finance, banking, treasury, risk management, and strategic planning.
This position requires both strategic vision and hands-on leadership. The CFO will partner closely with ownership and operational leadership to improve profitability, optimize working capital, support growth initiatives, evaluate capital investments, and ensure the organization has the financial infrastructure necessary to scale.
The ideal candidate will possess strong financial leadership experience in a manufacturing, printing, fulfillment, distribution, or multi-location operating environment.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Leadership & Strategic Planning
- Serve as a trusted advisor to ownership and executive leadership.
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with long-term business objectives.
- Lead annual strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year financial modeling.
- Evaluate growth opportunities, capital expenditures, acquisitions, and major business initiatives.
- Support ownership with business valuation, succession planning, and long-term value creation strategies.
- Develop financial insights and recommendations to improve profitability and cash flow.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee all accounting, treasury, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Lead annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.
- Develop meaningful KPI dashboards and reporting tools for executive leadership.
- Analyze product, customer, sales channel, and operational profitability.
- Provide financial leadership for pricing strategy and margin improvement initiatives.
Operational & Business Performance
- Partner with operational leaders to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Monitor key performance indicators, including: gross margin, labor utilization, inventory management, capacity utilization, equipment ROI, working capital performance, and EBITDA performance.
- Support operational improvement initiatives through financial analysis and decision support.
- Identify process improvements and automation opportunities across the organization.
Banking, Treasury & Risk Management
- Manage all banking and lending relationships.
- Oversee cash management, liquidity planning, borrowing capacity, and covenant compliance.
- Lead negotiations related to credit facilities and financing arrangements.
- Manage insurance programs and corporate risk management initiatives.
- Develop strategies to optimize cash flow and working capital.
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial, payroll, and tax regulations.
- Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
- Coordinate annual audits and tax compliance activities.
- Serve as primary liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and financial institutions.
Technology & Systems Leadership
- Champion continuous improvement through technology and automation.
- Optimize the use of ERP and financial management systems.
- Support business intelligence and data analytics initiatives.
- Improve reporting capabilities and financial visibility throughout the organization.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team.
- Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Develop succession plans and career growth opportunities within the finance department.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior finance leadership role such as Controller, Director of Finance, VP Finance, or CFO.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, treasury management, and internal controls.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated experience managing banking relationships and cash flow.
- Strong leadership, communication, and business partnering skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA designation strongly preferred.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in commercial printing, manufacturing, distribution, fulfillment, promotional products, apparel, packaging, direct mail, or related industries.
- Experience with multi-location operations.
- Experience supporting business growth, acquisitions, integrations, and organizational scaling.
- Experience with EFI Pace or similar ERP systems.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
