BlackHawk Data is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to lead and execute the next phase of our revenue growth.

The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) will oversee the company's revenue-generating functions, including Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, and Customer Success. This executive will be responsible for building a high-performing organization, developing scalable processes, mentoring leadership, and driving predictable, sustainable revenue growth across all business units.

Position Summary
The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) will serve as a key member of BlackHawk Data's Executive Leadership Team, working directly with the CEO to establish and execute the company's long-term revenue strategy. This individual will be responsible for leading the overall go-to-market strategy while ensuring alignment across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Professional Services, and Strategic Partnerships.
The ideal candidate has extensive executive leadership experience within an IT Value-Added Reseller (VAR), Managed Services Provider (MSP), Systems Integrator, Cloud Services, Cybersecurity, or Technology Solutions organization and has successfully built scalable, predictable revenue organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Revenue Strategy
- Develop and execute the company's overall revenue strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
- Partner with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to establish annual and quarterly revenue goals.
- Align Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Strategic Partnerships to drive sustainable growth.
- Identify opportunities to expand recurring managed services revenue, professional services, product sales, and strategic partnerships.
- Evaluate market trends, competitive positioning, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities.
- Present revenue forecasts, business performance, and strategic initiatives to executive leadership.
Sales Leadership & Coaching
- Provide executive leadership for the sales organization, including Sales Directors, Account Executives, Inside Sales Representatives, and Solution Architects.
- Build, mentor, and develop high-performing sales leadership and teams.
- Establish accountability through coaching, performance management, and KPI tracking.
- Improve sales methodologies, opportunity qualification, forecasting accuracy, and account planning.
- Participate in executive customer meetings, contract negotiations, and strategic enterprise opportunities.
- Develop compensation plans, territory strategies, quotas, and sales organizational structure.
Revenue Operations
- Establish executive dashboards and KPIs to measure sales performance, forecasting accuracy, and organizational effectiveness.
- Improve CRM utilization, reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management.
- Develop scalable sales processes that support continued company growth.
- Review pricing strategies, profitability, sales effectiveness, and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure accurate forecasting and predictable revenue performance.
Marketing & Business Development
- Partner with Marketing leadership to align campaigns with company revenue objectives.
- Improve lead generation strategies, demand generation efforts, and conversion metrics.
- Identify new market opportunities, verticals, partnerships, and strategic alliances.
- Support executive-level presentations, strategic account planning, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate on branding, messaging, and go-to-market initiatives.
Customer Success & Growth
- Partner with Customer Success and Professional Services leadership to improve customer retention and satisfaction.
- Develop strategies that increase recurring revenue, account expansion, and customer lifetime value.
- Foster executive relationships with strategic customers and partners.
- Ensure exceptional customer experience throughout the customer lifecycle.
Executive Leadership
- Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to overall company strategy and decision-making.
- Provide ongoing recommendations to improve revenue performance, organizational effectiveness, and operational execution.
- Collaborate with the CEO, CFO, CTO, and executive leadership on company initiatives and strategic planning.
- Build a high-performance, accountability-driven culture focused on growth and customer success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field required; MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive sales and executive leadership experience.
- Previous experience as a Chief Revenue Officer, Chief Sales Officer, VP of Sales, or equivalent executive leadership role.
- Extensive experience within an IT VAR, MSP, Systems Integrator, Cloud Services, Cybersecurity, or Technology Solutions organization.
- Proven track record of driving predictable revenue growth and building scalable sales organizations.
- Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, coaching, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated success implementing sales processes, forecasting methodologies, and KPI-driven performance management.
- Experience leading enterprise technology sales across networking, cybersecurity, cloud, collaboration, managed services, and professional services.
- Strong financial and business acumen with experience managing revenue forecasting and executive reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing relationships within the technology channel ecosystem.
- Experience working with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, Arista, Microsoft, VMware, Dell Technologies, HPE, NetApp, or similar technology partners.
- Experience growing recurring managed services and subscription-based revenue.
- Experience leading organizations through periods of rapid growth, transformation, or acquisition.
- Experience building executive leadership teams and scaling revenue operations nationally.
