MacGregor Black is partnering with an ambitious FMCG manufacturing business to appoint an experienced Chief Financial Officer.

Working closely with the Managing Director and leadership team, the CFO will play a pivotal role in strengthening the organisation, improving commercial performance and leading the financial strategy as the business progresses towards a future transaction.

Role Overview
As CFO, you will shape the financial strategy and provide leadership across all aspects of the finance function, ensuring the business is positioned for continued growth and a successful future exit.
Key areas of focus will include:
- Partnering with the Managing Director and leadership team to deliver the company's growth strategy.
- Leading the development of a scalable finance function capable of supporting future expansion.
- Driving improvements in profitability, cash generation and operational performance.
- Enhancing financial reporting, controls and governance to support investor and stakeholder requirements.
- Leading financial planning, forecasting and strategic modelling.
- Providing commercial insight across manufacturing, supply chain and commercial functions.
- Supporting investment decisions and identifying opportunities to increase enterprise value.
- Managing relationships with external advisers, investors and financial stakeholders.
- Building and developing a high-performing finance team.
Candidate Profile
This opportunity will suit an experienced CFO or Finance Director who has a proven track record of creating value within growing businesses.
- Previous experience as a CFO or Finance Director within food manufacturing, FMCG or a related consumer environment.
- A demonstrable track record of successfully supporting a business through a sale, acquisition, private equity investment or other significant transaction.
- Experience working with founders, owners, shareholders or private equity stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence strategic decisions.
- Experience improving business performance, profitability and operational effectiveness.
- The ability to balance strategic leadership with a hands-on approach when required.
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
