Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, on-site role based in Boca Raton, FL. The CFO will oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and capital allocation for the resort and related real estate development. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports, establishing internal controls, managing accounting processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The CFO will lead financial strategy for fundraising and investor relations, support negotiations with lenders and equity partners, and provide financial insights to guide executive decision-making. This role will collaborate closely with other executives to support project planning, risk management, and long-term financial sustainability.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance with proven experience in senior financial leadership roles within real estate, hospitality, or related industries.
- Demonstrated expertise in Financial Planning and budgeting, including long-term forecasting and capital expenditure planning.
- Hands-on experience preparing and analyzing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting for internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Advanced Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret complex data, assess risk, and present clear financial recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Experience with fundraising, investor relations, and working with lenders, equity partners, or institutional investors.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, tax considerations, and financial compliance relevant to large-scale development projects.
- Ability to build and lead a finance team, collaborate with cross-functional executives, and operate effectively in a fast-paced growth environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the capacity to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
