The Sales Operations Analyst plays a critical role in empowering our sales organization with accurate data, streamlined processes, and insightful analytics. Working closely will the sales teams and leadership, the Sales Operations Analyst will drive efficiency and revenue growth by optimizing our sales technology stack, ensuring data integrity, and developing robust forecasting models.
Position Qualifications (Education, Skills, Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales operations, business analytics, or a related role
- Demonstrated expertise in Salesforce administration and data management.
- Strong proficiency with business intelligence tools and forecasting methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy.
- Advanced familiarity with MS Office Excel applications
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and sales leadership.
- Must possess a willingness to learn and grow to meet the changing requirements of the business.
- Preferred experience with Outreach.io or similar sales engagement platforms.
- Working knowledge of SQL or other data query languages
Sales Data Curation, Integrity, and Optimization:
o Field Optimization: Design and implement a well-structured Salesforce (SFDC) data architecture, optimizing required fields and ensuring effective field usage for optimal data flow, particularly at the Opportunity Pipeline stage.
o Data Maintenance: Uphold the integrity of sales records within SFDC and proactively reconcile data inconsistencies, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and the timely correction of historical information.
o Data Integrity: Champion data governance by ensuring all sales-related data flows through SFDC, reducing data silos and potential inaccuracies.
Business Intelligence and Forecasting:
o Dataset Development: Build and maintain Discovery-wide datasets to power actionable insights and strategic decision-making.
o Comprehensive Forecasting: Generate detailed global forecasts across markets, clients, and business segments, supporting proactive sales strategy and revenue projections.
o Forecasting Standardization: Establish Discovery-wide guidelines, including minimum field requirements, to promote consistency and reliability in order and revenue forecasting.
Process Improvement and Best Practices:
o Sales Effectiveness Support: Collaborate with the training team to create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that promote effective sales techniques and support optimal utilization of sales tools.
o Field Modification Approval: Review and manage all Opportunity-level field modification and update requests to maintain data integrity and alignment with sales processes.
o Best Practice Dissemination: Identify and share key wins, successful contracts, cross-selling opportunities, and best practices across the organization, encouraging continuous improvement.
o Outreach.io Administration: Manage and administer Outreach.io, ensuring optimal configuration and user adoption.

- This position is office based. 4 days per week, 8 hours per day (for those within 30 miles of a Discovery Life Sciences office)
