Salesforce CPQ Solution Architect
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce CPQ Solution Architect to lead solution design, architecture, and delivery for a large-scale enterprise Salesforce implementation. The ideal candidate combines deep Salesforce CPQ expertise with strong integration experience, executive-level communication skills, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
This role requires a strong techno-functional leader who can partner with business stakeholders, drive architecture decisions, and provide governance across Salesforce CPQ and related platform capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
- Own end-to-end Salesforce CPQ solution architecture, including:
- Quote lifecycle management
- Pricing and discounting strategies
- Product configuration
- BOM generation
- Approval workflows
- Quote-to-order processes
- Design and implement complex pricing solutions, including:
- Special pricing programs
- Rebate and incentive structures
- Configurator-driven product models
- Multi-product and high-volume quoting scenarios
- Develop architecture artifacts such as:
- Solution design documents
- Data flow diagrams
- Integration specifications
- Configuration and governance documentation
Salesforce Platform & Security
- Design scalable security models, including:
- Role-based access controls
- Field-level security
- Permission set strategies
- Partner and customer portal access controls
- Sensitive pricing visibility requirements
- Provide architectural governance for:
- Apex development
- Flow automation
- SOQL optimization
- Platform scalability
- Governor limit management
- Guide integration design and governance across Salesforce and downstream enterprise systems.
Stakeholder Management & Delivery
- Serve as the primary technical lead during solution design and implementation phases.
- Facilitate architecture and discovery workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable Salesforce solutions.
- Identify technical risks and provide mitigation strategies.
- Ensure solution quality, testing standards, and deployment readiness across environments.
Required Qualifications
Salesforce CPQ Expertise
- 8+ years of Salesforce architecture experience in enterprise environments.
- 8+ years serving in a Salesforce CPQ Solution Architect or equivalent leadership role.
- 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce CPQ (Steelbrick/SBQQ) experience.

- Quote Line architecture
- Advanced Approvals
- Subscription products
- Amendment and renewal processes
Industry Experience
- Experience with Manufacturing Cloud preferred.
OR
- Strong background supporting manufacturing, high-tech, hardware, semiconductor, or similar industries.
Salesforce Platform Expertise
- Experience with:
- Apex development architecture
- Trigger frameworks
- Batch and asynchronous processing
- Flow Builder and automation strategy
- Experience Cloud
- Large data volume and SOQL optimization
Integration & Enterprise Architecture
- Experience designing and supporting integrations between Salesforce CPQ and:
- ERP platforms
- Rebate management solutions
- Product configurators
- Enterprise middleware solutions
- Strong knowledge of:
- REST APIs
- SOAP APIs
- Synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns
- Integration monitoring and error handling frameworks
