Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Business Operations Specialist to join our
team. In this role, you will support our US Staff Augmentation Business, with a primary focus
on serving clients located on the East Coast. As part of our growth strategy, Arcadis aims to
strengthen our current presence in this region and expand operations across the United
States.
The Business Operations Specialist supports CTS business operations through project
coordination, administration, financial tracking, consultant onboarding and offboarding,
reporting, and process improvement.
Role accountabilities:
• Attend daily CTS team briefings, consolidate progress updates, and maintain master
trackers.
• Support project and resource planning to help maintain at least three months of
billable work for consultants, coordinating with internal teams, account managers, and
clients as needed.
• Assist in the preparation and timely delivery of resumes, proposals, Statements of
Work (SOWs), project codes, and project plans.
• Manage operational and financial tracking activities, including timesheet approvals,
purchase order monitoring, invoice coordination, reconciliations, and maintenance of
business and financial trackers.
• Support onboarding and offboarding activities for employees and contractors,
including documentation, systems updates, time and expense guidance, and access or
project code changes.
• Maintain accurate employee, contractor, and operational records to ensure
compliance, data integrity, and effective business administration.
• Coordinate across offices in MA, NC, and NJ to promote alignment, communication,
and consistency in operational goals and execution.
• Provide information and reporting to management to support leadership decision making.
• Support employee engagement initiatives designed to improve retention, morale, and
team connectivity across CTS.
• Act as a responsive liaison between internal teams and clients, helping resolve issues
promptly and supporting strong service delivery standards.
• Identify and support process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce
redundancies, and strengthen operational best practices.
• Support special projects and additional business operations activities as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Operations, Finance, Human
Resources, or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in business operations, project coordination, financial
administration, or a related support role.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and business data.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across
teams and stakeholder groups.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and
clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and adapt to changing
business needs.
• Experience in engineering professional services, consulting, or technical services
environment is preferred.
