Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing all financial operations of Cyber Force University of Chitral, with a focus on supporting its cybersecurity education and outreach activities. The CFO will manage financial planning and budgeting, monitor cash flow, and develop long-term financial strategies aligned with the institution’s mission. Daily responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and institutional policies. The role also involves performing financial analysis to support decision-making, advising leadership on resource allocation, and collaborating with academic and administrative teams to optimize funding for programs, events, and technology investments. The CFO will implement financial controls, support audit processes, and contribute to building transparent, sustainable financial practices.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Finance and Financial Planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy.
- Proficiency in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting in accordance with applicable standards.
- Strong Analytical Skills for interpreting financial data, assessing risk, and supporting evidence-based decisions.
- Experience with financial controls, compliance, and audit support in an educational, nonprofit, or technology-focused environment is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.
- Interest in or familiarity with cybersecurity, technology initiatives, or student-led organizations is a plus.
