Job Summary:
As the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), you will be responsible for overseeing all revenue-generating functions within the organization. Your primary objective will be to drive revenue growth, optimize sales and business development processes and maximize profitability. You will drive efforts across sales, marketing, business development, and product teams to develop and execute strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
Responsibilities/Tasks:
Develop Revenue Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive revenue generation strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives and growth targets.
Sales Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the sales team, setting clear goals and targets, and ensure they are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to succeed.
Revenue Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize sales processes, pricing strategies, and revenue streams to maximize profitability and efficiency with a focus on ARR and expansion within accounts.
Partnership Development: Identify and develop strategic channel partnerships and relationships to drive market expansion and revenue growth.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with technology strategy, marketing, product, finance, and professional services teams to ensure alignment and synergy across all revenue-generating functions.
Customer Acquisition: Oversee customer acquisition efforts, including lead generation, prospecting, and conversion, to drive new business growth.
Customer Retention: Develop strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention, working closely with customer success teams to ensure long-term customer value.
Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities and potential risks.
Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of revenue-generating activities, regularly monitoring performance and making data-driven decisions.
Revenue Forecasting: Develop accurate revenue forecasts based on market trends, sales pipeline, and historical performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
Team Development: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing revenue team of 10+, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills/Experience:
Proven Leadership: Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role, with a track record of successfully leading revenue teams and driving growth in a dynamic environment in a Cyber Security, Threat Intelligence, or similar business. Demonstrated experience taking a product and services organization from $50 to 200M in annual revenue.
Sales and Business Development Expertise: Strong understanding of sales and business development principles, techniques, and best practices, with a proven ability to build and scale sales operations. Ability to lead, manage and navigate complex proposals. Deep understanding of market dynamics, customer segmentation, and direct/indirect sales channels.
Strategic Thinker: Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute effective revenue generation strategies aligned with business objectives.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize revenue performance.
Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
Customer Focus: Deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics, with a focus on delivering exceptional value and driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Results-Oriented: Highly motivated and results-oriented, with a strong drive for achieving targets and delivering measurable business outcomes.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with a willingness to adapt to changing market conditions and business priorities.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, or revenue leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and profitability. Industry-specific experience in professional and/or managed services is preferred. Ability to manage and navigate complex proposals as well as management of RFP’s is a plus.
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or a related field is typically required. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.

This position can be based anywhere in US or Canada but must be able to travel to the US.
