Shape the future of immersive entertainment as CFO of a category-leading, internationally scaling business. Partner with the CEO and Board to drive growth, fundraising and a future exit across multiple global locations.
THE COMPANY
Our client is one of the leading companies in the growing location-based immersive entertainment sector with multiple venues in the UK, US and across Europe. They are now poised for rapid global scale.
THE ROLE
As a CFO, you will partner with the CEO, leadership team, and Board to:
- Drive financial strategy and disciplined capital allocation across multiple rapid-growth channels
- Professionalise finance to support global expansion
- Lead a robust but lean finance function
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting (statutory, management accounts, cash, forecasts).
- Develop strong internal controls, audit frameworks and governance systems consistent with a future exit.
- Oversee global tax, treasury, FX, transfer pricing, and international compliance.
- Implement scalable financial systems, automation, and processes capable of supporting 300+ global locations.
- Strengthen cash flow discipline, liquidity planning, and multi-currency treasury management.
- Lead fundraising, investor engagement, and preparation for a future exit
- Provide commercial insight that accelerates performance across content, technology, audience growth, and distribution
- Support data-driven revenue modelling: predictive forecasting, site selection, and partner economics.
This is not a maintenance CFO role. It is an opportunity to help shape and scale a category-creating business, driving growth, value creation and strategic transformation. Equally, as part of a lean and ambitious team, you will be prepared to roll up your sleeves and remain closely involved in day-to-day execution.
THE PERSON
As an experienced CFO, or an exceptional FD ready to step up, you will have a proven track record in high-growth, multi-site and international businesses within consumer, entertainment or retail sectors. You will have experience in private equity or venture-backed environments, including investor reporting, value creation planning, fundraising and strategic transactions.
You will bring strong expertise across financial control, treasury, liquidity, audit, governance and risk, alongside a proven ability to implement scalable finance systems and processes to support international growth. Experience of complex ownership or revenue models, such as franchising, licensing, concessions or partnerships, is important, as is advanced FP&A, forecasting and financial modelling.
International experience, ideally across the UK and US, and a track record of building transaction-ready control, compliance and reporting frameworks are highly desirable.
