At CNG Fuels, we are pioneers in the sustainable energy sector with a mission to drive fleet emissions in the transportation industry to zero through our innovative solutions.
We construct, own, and manage our own network of state-of-the-art Bio-CNG public access refuelling stations, procuring our own 100% renewable Biomethane. Our Bio-CNG is derived entirely from biomethane extracted from waste materials such as food, animal, and wastewater. It undergoes independent verification and is sanctioned by the Department for Transport’s Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO).

Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Business Operations Coordinator to join our team. In this supportive role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth daily operations across a range of business functions. You will work closely with multiple departments, providing administrative support, coordinating processes and helping to improve efficiency across the business.
Customer service experience is essential. The role includes account management for third-party maintenance customers, maintaining strong working relationships, providing clear reports and delivering consistently professional customer communication. You will also support the management of utility contracts across the business.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a strong communicator and comfortable working collaboratively. A creative eye and an interest in branding are also desirable, as you will assist in maintaining consistent and engaging brand communications both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Support: Assist in streamlining workflows, maintaining records and managing key business processes to support the overall operations of the business.
- Coordination: Act as a central point of contact between departments, facilitating effective communication and collaboration to ensure alignment of goals and objectives.
- Brand Management and Communication Coordination: Take ownership of the company’s brand image, working with internal and external partners to deliver communications and ensure a consistent brand identity across the business.
- Customer Service and Third-Party Account Management: Act as a key point of contact for third-party maintenance customers, providing a consistently high standard of customer service. Manage day-to-day account communications, maintain positive working relationships, respond to queries, coordinate issue resolution and support customer retention.
- Customer Reporting and Communication: Prepare and provide accurate customer reports and service updates. Ensure all customer communications are clear, timely, professional and appropriate for the audience.
- Data Management: Maintain and update business records, reports and databases accurately, ensuring critical information is readily accessible for decision-making.
- Problem-Solving: Identify operational inefficiencies and work collaboratively with teams to implement solutions that improve productivity and reduce bottlenecks.
- Process Improvement: Assist in the development and implementation of operational policies, procedures and best practices.
- Contract Management: Oversee contract administration by managing, reviewing and maintaining agreements with vendors, clients and partners. Monitor renewal dates, compliance requirements and documentation.
- Utilities Contract Management: Support the management of utility contracts across the business, including maintaining contract records, monitoring renewal dates, liaising with suppliers, checking account information and supporting contract reviews and negotiations where required.
- Administrative Duties: Handle general administrative tasks, including correspondence, documentation and resource management, to support smooth day-to-day operations.
- Management Support and Task Coordination: Support the management team with additional tasks, priorities and projects as required.
Job Requirements
- Essential customer service experience: Proven experience in a customer-facing role, with the ability to provide a high standard of service and communicate confidently and professionally.
- Account management and relationship building: Experience managing or supporting customer accounts, ideally involving third-party maintenance or service customers. Able to build and maintain strong working relationships, handle queries and provide regular reports and updates.
- Operations experience: A minimum of two years’ experience in an operations environment.
- Coordination experience: Proven experience in a coordinator, project support or product owner role.
- Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor information for customers, suppliers, colleagues and senior stakeholders.
- Organisation and adaptability: Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, adjust quickly to changing priorities and tight deadlines, and complete key tasks efficiently without compromising quality.
- Commercial awareness: Able to consider the requirements of different departments while keeping the company’s core values, objectives and mission at the centre of decision-making.
- Systems capability: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with familiarity with project management tools.
- Project support skills: Practical project coordination skills, including problem-solving, managing actions and delivering against key deadlines.
- Contract and supplier management: Experience supporting contracts, supplier relationships or utility agreements is desirable, including maintaining records and monitoring renewals.
- Branding and communications: A creative eye, with experience or an interest in branding, marketing or communications, is highly desirable.
