Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Strategy
- Own company-wide financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Serve as chief steward of the P&L, driving margin discipline and cost accountability across all business lines
- Partner with the CEO on capital strategy, fundraising, and investor relations
- Develop and maintain financial models supporting fleet expansion, new market entry, and capital investment decisions
Accounting & Controls
- Own all accounting operations: GL, close process, financial statements, and audit readiness
- Establish and maintain internal controls and accounting policies appropriate for a scaling company
- Oversee billing operations end-to-end, including invoicing accuracy, revenue recognition, and collections
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements
Capital Structure & Transactions
- Support structuring and financial modeling for aircraft financing transactions, including complex investment vehicles (e.g., Opportunity Zone/QOF structures) as applicable
- Manage banking, lending, and financing partner relationships
- Lead due diligence and financial workstreams for strategic transactions and new investor capital
Leadership
- Build and lead the finance/accounting team as the company scales
- Present financial performance and strategic recommendations to the CEO, board, and investors
- Partner cross-functionally with commercial, operations, and legal teams on deal structuring and pricing
Qualifications
- 10+ years progressive finance/accounting leadership experience; CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Prior CFO, VP Finance, or Controller experience, ideally in aviation, transportation, real estate, or another asset-intensive, capital-heavy industry
- Deep experience with complex financing structures and tax-advantaged investment vehicles a strong plus (e.g., Opportunity Zone funds, QSBS, partnership/passthrough taxation)
- Track record building financial infrastructure at a scaling or high-growth company
- Strong billing/revenue operations background
- Excellent communication skills; comfortable as a strategic partner to the CEO and external investors/lenders
