We're seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer who wants more than a seat at the executive table. As a key member of our Executive Leadership Team, you'll partner closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to help guide the future of Intermountain. You'll bring financial expertise, business acumen, and visionary thinking to support a mission that matters- Healing through Healthy Relationships.

What You'll Do
Financial Stewardship
Oversee all accounting, finance, reporting, audit, budgeting, and asset management functions.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Lead financial forecasting, cash flow planning, and profitability analysis.
Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance practices.
Manage banking relationships, investments, real estate assets, and financial risk.
Strategic Leadership
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors.
Help define and execute the organization's long-term strategic vision.
Evaluate opportunities for growth, innovation, and operational improvement.
Lead financial strategy that supports mission impact and organizational sustainability.
Participate in Board meetings and provide clear, insightful financial guidance.
Operational Excellence
Drive organization-wide budgeting and revenue cycle management processes.
Support quality improvement and risk management initiatives.
Champion data-driven decision making through meaningful financial analytics.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and organizational performance.
Lead process improvement initiatives that strengthen systems and workflows.
People Leadership
Build, mentor, and develop a talented finance team.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Lead cross-functional initiatives and successfully manage complex projects.
Partner with leaders across the organization to align financial strategy with operational goals.

Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field
8-10 years of progressively responsible financial and administrative leadership experience
At least 5 years in an executive-level role overseeing finance, operations, performance management, quality assurance, or risk management
Proven experience leading and developing teams
Valid Montana driver's license or ability to obtain one
Preferred
Master’s degree in applicable field
Nonprofit, healthcare, or human services leadership experience
Knowledge of Montana regulatory and compliance requirements
Experience with LEAN, Balanced Scorecard, or other performance improvement methodologies
Demonstrated success leading organizational change and cross-functional initiatives
Will consider equivalent combinations of experience and education

The salary range for this position is $160,000- $200,000 annually depending on experience. Position may be eligible for sign on bonus and relocation expenses.
