About QC Growth
QC Growth is the go-to-market team for seed to Series A and B developer-tool and AI companies. We embed with founders as one team across strategy, execution, GTM engineering, and operations, a team that speaks developer and has actually shipped dev and open-source tools. We are operators, not just strategists. We have taken developer products to market ourselves, and we do it again alongside the founders we work with.
The opportunity
We are working with more venture-backed dev-tool founders than we can keep up with, and they all hit the same wall: they built something developers love, and now they have to sell it. Generic GTM repels developers. Founder-led GTM runs out of road. That gap is the job, and it is where you come in.
We are hiring a GTM Advisor to help run and grow our Dev Tool portfolio, working directly with founders on the messy, high-leverage 0-to-1 motion, alongside our GTM Lead, Shane O’Connor.
What you will do
- Lead embedded GTM engagements across a portfolio of pre-seed, seed, and Series A dev-tool companies. Build go-to-market from scratch for some founders, sharpen and complement existing teams for others.
- Own positioning, ICP, and the story that lands with both the developer who adopts and the buyer who signs the check. Find the villain, sharpen the wedge, cut the generic.
- Create and master the messaging. The exact words that land with both the developer who adopts and the buyer who signs the check. This is the craft at the heart of the role.
- Get founders their first customers and coach them through founder-led sales: discovery, demos, objection handling, and closing.
- Operate as an embedded partner in the room with founding teams. We embed, we do not hand over a deck and leave.
Who you are
- You have been a founding AE, an early growth hire, or a founder yourself.
- You have worked shoulder to shoulder with a founding team and know what 0-to-1 actually feels like, not just the theory of it.
- You love developer tooling and everything GTM around it. This is not an "I'll pick up the space" role. You already live here.
- You can run both motions. You understand that the developer who adopts you and the executive who pays for you are two different people with two different jobs, and you know how to serve both.
- You have taken a technical product to market and can earn the trust of technical founders.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in the earliest, highest-leverage stage.
- Based in EST/Europe (preferred).
Nice to have
- Experience across more than one dev-tool company, or in a portfolio or advisory setting.
- Fluency in open-source and PLG motions, and the developer channels that matter (Hacker News, Reddit, docs, founder-led content).
- Familiarity with dev-tool GTM methodology (Adam Frankl, Jakub Czakon).
- A network in the early-stage dev-tool ecosystem.
Why join
- Work with some of the best early dev-tool founders in the market, many of them a16z, Y-Combinator, and Sequoia backed.
- The whole engine, not one slice: strategy through execution through tooling, one accountable team.
- High variety, high leverage, and real ownership from day one.
