About the Role:
Recruitmark is partnered with an Australian-owned engineering and manufacturing company headquartered in Perth, Western Australia. The company has over 30 years of experience providing purpose-built pumping, water treatment and storage solutions across Australia and internationally.
The CFO provides strategic financial leadership, commercial insight and governance oversight to support Allied Pumps’ growth and operational excellence. Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Executive Team and Finance & Legal Director, the CFO will lead financial strategy, improve operational performance and strengthen financial systems, controls and capabilities to support the business as it grows. The role combines strategic financial planning with hands-on oversight of finance, purchasing and commercial analytics, ensuring disciplined financial management while enabling future growth and expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Partner with the MD, Finance & Legal Director and Board on long-term strategy, growth initiatives, acquisitions, investments and market expansion.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial modelling and management reporting across the business.
- Financial Governance & Compliance: Maintain strong financial controls, audit readiness, statutory compliance, risk management and adherence to Australian Accounting Standards.
- Commercial Performance: Work with operational leaders to improve cost management, pricing, margins, project performance and working capital.
- Treasury & Capital Management: Oversee working capital, capital structure, banking relationships, financial facilities and financial risk.
- Systems & Digital Finance: Improve ERP utilisation, reporting systems, automation, data analytics and digital transformation across finance and procurement.
- Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing finance team while building accountability, succession planning and continuous improvement.
- Safety: Promote a safe workplace by complying with WHS requirements, reporting risks and incidents, and addressing immediate safety concerns.
About You:
- CA / CPA qualified
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
- MBA or executive finance education desirable
- Proven senior finance leadership in a $100M+ industrial, manufacturing, engineering or infrastructure business
- Experience supporting high-growth or scaling organisations
- Strong FP&A and commercial finance capability
- Experience with M&A, integrations or complex transactions
- Demonstrated experience leading an ERP system implementation or transformation in a similar business
- Audit or professional services background highly regarded
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial judgement
- Ability to translate complex financial data into business insights
- Hands-on leadership style suited to a growing mid-market business
- Strong communicator capable of influencing senior stakeholders
- High integrity and governance discipline
