Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, on-site role based in the Bowling Green Metropolitan Area. The CFO will lead the firm’s financial strategy, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and long-term financial planning. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing financial reporting, preparing and analyzing financial statements, overseeing billing and collections processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and regulatory standards. The role will supervise finance and accounting staff, implement financial controls and systems, and provide data-driven insights to support partner decision-making and firm growth. The CFO will collaborate with firm leadership on strategic initiatives, evaluate financial risks and opportunities, and contribute to operational efficiency across the organization.
Qualifications
- Strong financial planning and finance skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial management.
- Expertise in financial statements and financial reporting, with the ability to interpret and present complex data clearly.
- Advanced analytical skills, including proficiency in financial modeling, variance analysis, and performance metrics.
- Proven experience leading finance or accounting functions, preferably in professional services or law firm environments.
- Solid understanding of GAAP, taxation basics, and regulatory compliance relevant to law firms and partnerships.
- Proficiency with financial management systems and advanced spreadsheet skills; experience with ERP or practice management software is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; CPA, MBA, or equivalent advanced credential is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, team management, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with partners and staff at all levels.
