The Role
As a
Deal Desk / RevOps Specialist at The National College, you will play a key role in managing new sales orders and renewals, ensuring that sales processes run smoothly, efficiently, and accurately from order through to completion.
You will be responsible for a range of administrative and operational activities supporting new business sales and renewals. Working closely with Sales, Finance, Customer Success, and other key stakeholders, you will help maintain data integrity, streamline processes, ensure accurate reporting, and support the effective management of the sales lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will span a variety of activities that are critical to the smooth day-to-day operation of the revenue function, while also contributing to the ongoing improvement and strategic growth of the business.
Job responsibilities
Sales & Renewals Processing- Process new sales orders and renewals accurately and efficiently, ensuring a seamless and timely journey from order through to invoicing and customer onboarding
- Manage and streamline sales and renewals workflows, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency throughout the order process
- Work closely with Finance to ensure seamless integration and alignment between CRM and financial systems
- Manage and respond to sales and renewals-related queries and tickets in a timely and accurate manner
- Support accurate and timely invoicing, payment processing, and revenue recognition by ensuring relevant sales and customer information is complete and accurate
Data Guardianship- Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of sales and customer data across relevant systems
- Support and implement data governance policies and practices, ensuring data is managed in accordance with applicable data protection regulations
- Conduct regular data audits and cleansing activities to improve data quality, consistency, and reliability
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies, working with relevant stakeholders to maintain accurate and reliable records.
Reporting & Insights- Generate and distribute regular sales, renewals, and revenue reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders
- Develop and maintain dashboards that provide clear and timely insights into key sales and revenue performance metrics
- Analyse sales and customer data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement
- Support stakeholders with accurate and actionable data to inform commercial and operational decision-making
Additional Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day operational support to Sales and Customer Success teams, responding to queries and resolving issues promptly
- Assist with the implementation, optimisation, and ongoing improvement of the CRM and other sales-related systems and processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Support the development and execution of revenue growth initiatives through accurate data, effective processes, and operational insight
- Contribute to wider RevOps projects and initiatives as required
Job requirements
Experience- Proven experience in sales order processing, sales operations, Deal Desk, Revenue Operations, or a similar operational role, ideally within a technology or SaaS environment
- Experience working with sales, customer, and commercial data, including data processing, analysis, and quality management
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, particularly Sales, Finance, and Customer Success
- Experience using CRM systems and working with structured data and business processes
Skills & Competencies- Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy and data quality
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate, analyse, and present data effectively
- Experience with CRM and ERP systems is desirable
- Familiarity with reporting, dashboarding, data manipulation, or business intelligence tools is beneficial
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and communicate confidently with a diverse range of stakeholders
- A proactive and problem-solving approach, with the ability to identify issues, recommend solutions, and drive improvements
Qualifications- A degree-level qualification, preferably in Business, Finance, Data, Economics, or a related discipline, is desirable
- Relevant professional experience may be considered in place of a formal degree qualification
