A rare opportunity has arisen for an accomplished finance leader to join a rapidly growing Australian-owned business as Chief Financial Officer.
This is far more than a traditional finance leadership role. As a key member of the Executive Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the organisation, influencing strategic decision-making and driving the financial, operational and systems infrastructure required to support continued growth.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be the trusted advisor across all financial, commercial, capital management and systems-related matters while leading the ongoing evolution of the finance function.
The Opportunity
This broad and commercially focused role offers responsibility across financial leadership, business partnering, systems transformation, operational performance and strategic planning.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Strategic & Executive Leadership
- Partner closely with the CEO and Executive Team to shape business strategy and support key growth initiatives.
- Provide commercial insights and challenge assumptions to ensure strategic decisions are underpinned by robust financial analysis.
- Act as the primary adviser on financial performance, capital allocation, systems investment and operational efficiency.
- Drive a culture of accountability across the business, ensuring financial outcomes remain front of mind at all levels.
Financial Control & Reporting
- Lead all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Oversee statutory reporting, audit management and compliance obligations.
- Maintain a robust internal control environment across a geographically dispersed operation.
- Deliver meaningful reporting and analysis to support executive decision-making.
Commercial Finance & Business Performance
- Provide deep analysis of profitability, operational performance and cost structures across the business.
- Support strategic investment decisions through detailed business cases, modelling and financial evaluation.
- Develop financial frameworks that support revenue growth, margin enhancement and long-term value creation.
- Partner with operational leaders to drive performance improvements and sustainable growth.
Capital, Assets & Treasury
- Oversee treasury, working capital and funding activities.
- Provide strategic guidance on capital investment decisions and funding requirements.
- Lead financial planning around key asset investments and long-term capital management initiatives.
- Ensure strong governance around financing facilities, reporting obligations and stakeholder relationships.
Systems, Process & Transformation
- Take ownership of the finance systems landscape and broader financial data environment.
- Drive automation, process improvement and system enhancement initiatives.
- Lead future finance transformation projects, including system upgrades and implementation programs where required.
- Ensure reporting integrity through robust data governance and scalable finance processes.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Oversee taxation, regulatory compliance and corporate governance requirements.
- Manage relationships with auditors, external advisers and key financial stakeholders.
- Ensure effective risk management frameworks and financial controls are maintained across the organisation.
- Support the CEO and Board on governance, compliance and strategic financial matters.
Leadership
- Lead, mentor and develop the finance team to support the next phase of growth.
- Assess organisational capability and build a scalable finance structure aligned to business objectives.
- Foster strong relationships across the business and establish Finance as a true commercial partner.
- Influence and support leaders across operations, helping drive accountability and performance outcomes.
About You
You are a commercially minded CFO or an exceptional Head of Finance / Financial Controller ready to step into a broader executive leadership position.
You will bring:
- CA or CPA qualification.
- Proven experience leading finance functions within a growing, multi-site organisation.
- Strong financial control, reporting, treasury and commercial finance capability.
- Experience driving systems, process improvement and finance transformation initiatives.
- A track record of partnering with senior executives to influence business strategy.
- Outstanding leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A hands-on approach combined with the ability to operate strategically.
