We're looking for a Director of Business Operations to own and scale our client's Northern California region end-to-end. Responsibilities:
Own the NorCal P&L — drive regional growth, physician satisfaction, and operational efficiency across all clinic sites
Manage and grow a team of 10+ (onboarding specialists, on-site day specialists, hourly staff), with 3–6 additional hires planned over the next six months
Visit physician practices and clinic sites weekly to ensure facilities are stocked, operational, and delivering a great experience
Build deep physician relationships to sustain zero churn and drive referral-based growth
Partner with product and engineering to spot automation opportunities and roll out AI-native workflows without sacrificing quality
Experience:
P&L ownership — you've directly managed revenue and costs for a region or business unit, not just advised on them

Consulting background (MBB strongly preferred) with a transition into hands-on operating roles at high-growth startups or marketplaces
Degree from a top-tier university; the bulk of your career experience should be US-based
Willingness to be boots-on-the-ground — expect :70% hands-on execution early on, regular travel to clinic sites, and a "whatever it takes" mindset at a 30-person company (dealbreaker)
Experience tiers
Tier 1: Consulting (MBB or Big 4) operations/strategy at a Series A–D startup (e.g., Scale AI)
