Group Chief Financial Officer - Financial Services & FinTech
The Opportunity
We are partnering with a growing, multi-jurisdictional financial services and technology group to appoint a Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
This is a senior strategic leadership opportunity to shape the Group’s financial strategy, strengthen financial governance and build a robust financial operating model to support its next stage of growth.
Working closely with the CEO, Board, shareholders and key advisers, the successful candidate will lead the Group’s finance function, combining commercial insight with disciplined financial oversight across planning, capital allocation, treasury, statutory reporting, audit and controls.
As the business continues to evolve, the Group CFO will play a central role in modernising the finance function, strengthening its financial infrastructure and supporting acquisitions, regulated activities and international operations.
The role requires a commercially minded, hands-on finance executive who can bring structure, sound judgement and pace to a dynamic and complex environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the Group’s financial strategy and operating model, defining how the finance function should be structured and scaled across multiple entities.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, management reporting and Board-level financial commentary.
- Oversee group consolidation, statutory accounts, audit management, tax coordination and financial controls.
- Manage treasury, liquidity forecasting, capital allocation and cash visibility across the Group.
- Support prudential and regulatory finance obligations, including governance, reporting and capital planning requirements.
- Partner with the CEO, Board and shareholders on strategic planning, funding decisions, acquisitions and restructuring activity.
- Strengthen financial processes, systems, workflows and automation to improve efficiency, reliability and auditability.
- Lead and develop the finance team, establishing high standards of accuracy, accountability and commercial judgement.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking an experienced finance leader with a strong track record of operating within complex, regulated environments.
The successful candidate will bring:
- 10+ years of senior finance leadership experience within regulated financial services, banking, wealth management, fintech or a similarly complex environment.
- Strong financial planning and analysis expertise, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance analysis.
- Proven experience in financial control, group consolidation, statutory reporting, audit management and tax oversight.
- Demonstrable experience managing cash, liquidity, treasury and capital allocation within a multi-entity business.
- Experience working closely with Boards, shareholders, auditors and senior executives in a high-accountability environment.
- A strong understanding of regulated financial services and the financial governance, controls and reporting disciplines required.
- Excellent communication, commercial judgement and integrity, with the ability to simplify complex financial information for senior stakeholders.
