Chief Financial Officer

IFF Executive are working on a retained basis with a privately owned, high growth group who are looking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer at a pivotal moment in its growth, as it enters an active phase of geographic expansion.
This is a genuine strategic appointment, not a back-office finance role. You will partner closely with ownership and the leadership team, take the lead on banking and treasury strategy, and bring the commercial and strategic input that a fast growing, still lean finance function needs.
What you will be doing
- Acting as a trusted strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, not simply reporting the numbers after the fact
- Producing high level forecasting and scenario planning that gives the leadership team, and external stakeholders, real confidence in the numbers
- Overseeing import finance, foreign currency exposure and trade finance transactions
- Leading and developing a growing finance function as the business continues to scale
- Owning the relationship with the Group's principal lending bank
What we are looking for
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with significant experience at CFO, FD or equivalent level in a business of comparable scale (ideally a £200m+ turnover business)
- Comfortable operating hands on in a lean team, while equally credible in front of the Board and external stakeholders
- The judgement and resilience to build credibility quickly in a high growth environment
- Direct experience negotiating and managing revolving credit or trade finance facilities
