Chief Financial Officer - Industrial and Commercial Mechanical & Electrical Specialty Construction - Georgia
Gryphon Oakwood is currently working with a rapidly growing MEP Specialty Contractor seeking a Chief Financial Officer to oversee a $200M Southeast business unit.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in specialty construction finance, with experience supporting complex industrial and commercial mechanical and electrical projects. This individual will play a key leadership role in driving financial performance, operational discipline, cash flow, and continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations for a $200M+ business unit
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
- Partner closely with operational leadership on project performance, profitability, and cash flow
- Provide financial oversight across complex mechanical and electrical construction projects
- Monitor WIP, job costing, margins, change orders, and project financial performance
- Develop and improve financial processes, controls, and reporting systems
- Support strategic growth initiatives and business decision-making
- Lead and develop the finance and accounting function
Ideal Background:
- Senior finance leadership experience within specialty construction
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, MEP, industrial, or commercial construction
- Experience overseeing a business unit or organization of $100M+ in revenue
- Strong knowledge of WIP, job costing, cash flow, forecasting, and project financials
- Proven ability to partner with operational and executive leadership
- Experience working within a fast-growing contractor or entrepreneurial environment
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred
