What You'll Do
As CFO / Head of Finance, you will take ownership of the organization's financial infrastructure and help position the business for continued growth.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and execute the organization's overall financial strategy.
- Build scalable accounting and finance processes capable of supporting continued growth.
- Establish appropriate financial controls, reporting structures and forecasting processes.
- Lead and develop the finance/accounting function as the organization scales.
- Partner closely with executive leadership on strategic business decisions.
- Provide accurate, actionable financial analysis and business insights.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial planning.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency and financial performance.
- Build processes and systems that increase visibility and accountability across the organization.
- Help determine the appropriate structure, technology and talent required for a high-performing finance organization.
- Serve as a strategic business partner to executive leadership rather than simply functioning as a traditional accounting leader.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Strong accounting and finance foundation.
- Proven experience in a high-growth, scaling or early-stage business environment.
- Experience building or significantly improving finance/accounting processes.
- Experience developing and leading teams.
- Strong financial planning, forecasting and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on when necessary.
- Executive presence and strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in an environment where processes are still being built and refined.
- A track record of successfully navigating growth, change and organizational complexity.
The ideal profile may be a Director or VP of Finance who has already been operating at a high level and is ready for the opportunity to officially step into a CFO role.
Industry experience within a law firm is not required. The priority is finding a finance leader who knows how to build, scale and operate within a rapidly growing organization.
Compensation
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between [$300,000 – $350,000] Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
In addition to base compensation, this position is expected to offer a target bonus opportunity of approximately 50% of base salary, along with a meaningful long-term incentive opportunity.
