Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a strategic executive responsible for leading the financial operations of a growing manufacturing company in the DFW metroplex. Reporting directly to the CEO (and partnering with Private Equity ownership), the CFO provides financial leadership that supports profitable growth, operational excellence, and long-term enterprise value.
The CFO oversees all aspects of accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), treasury, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, banking relationships, compliance, risk management, and information technology. This individual serves as a strategic business partner to the executive leadership team and helps drive operational performance through data-driven decision making.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to develop and execute the company's strategic plan.
- Provide financial insight into business decisions, capital investments, pricing strategies, and growth opportunities.
- Develop long-range financial models supporting revenue growth, profitability, and EBITDA objectives.
- Present financial results, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to ownership, lenders, and Board members.
- Identify operational improvement opportunities through financial analysis.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts.
- Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts.
- Monitor key financial and operational KPIs.
- Analyze profitability by product line, customer, and business segment.
- Recommend actions to improve margins, cash flow, and return on investment.
- Provide scenario modeling for major business decisions.
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Oversee all accounting operations including:
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Fixed Assets
- Cost Accounting
- Inventory Accounting
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial close.
- Produce monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Maintain internal financial controls.

Manufacturing Finance
- Lead financial oversight of manufacturing operations.

- Lead annual Financial and bank audits

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- MBA preferred
- CPA preferred
Experience
- 3-5 years Finance Director/CFO experience required
- 10+ years progressive financial leadership experience preferred
- 5+ years in manufacturing preferred
- Experience leading accounting and finance teams
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A
- Cost accounting experience required
- ERP implementation or optimization experience preferred
- Experience supporting executive leadership and Board reporting
- Private Equity-backed company experience preferred
