Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Chicago Area. This role oversees all financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting, to support strategic decision-making and long-term growth. The CFO will lead the finance and accounting teams, establish and maintain internal controls, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, analyzing operational and financial performance, partnering with senior leadership on business strategy, managing banking and investor relationships, and supporting capital investments and cost optimization initiatives. The CFO will also contribute to risk management, oversee audits, and implement systems and processes that enhance financial efficiency and transparency.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance, with experience leading corporate finance functions in a manufacturing or food industry environment.
- Expertise in Financial Planning and budgeting, including forecasting, cash flow management, and long-term financial strategy.
- Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and interpreting Financial Statements to inform executive decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability in Financial Reporting, including compliance with GAAP or IFRS and regulatory requirements.
- Advanced Analytical Skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
- Proven leadership experience managing finance and accounting teams, with a collaborative and inclusive management style.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
- Experience with ERP and financial systems, process improvement, and internal controls.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executives, stakeholders, and partners.
