Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
The Opportunity
We are working with a number of clients across a diverse range of sectors, including financial services, retail, marketing, technology and professional services, operating in both B2B and B2C environments.
We are looking to connect with experienced Fractional CFOs and Finance Directors who bring significant sector-specific expertise and a proven track record of supporting businesses through growth, transformation and strategic change.
Our clients range from founder-led businesses and high-growth scale-ups to established organisations seeking experienced financial leadership on a flexible, part-time basis.
These opportunities offer the chance to work closely with CEOs, founders and Boards, providing strategic financial guidance, strengthening financial operations and supporting critical commercial decisions.
We are particularly interested in finance leaders who have developed deep expertise within specific industries and can bring relevant commercial understanding, market knowledge and practical experience to the businesses they support.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on the client and engagement, responsibilities may include:
- Providing strategic financial leadership and acting as a trusted adviser to the CEO, founders and Board.
- Leading financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial modelling.
- Developing management reporting and financial insights to support commercial decision-making.
- Overseeing financial controls, statutory reporting, audit management and tax coordination.
- Managing cash flow, liquidity, working capital and capital allocation.
- Supporting fundraising, investment readiness, acquisitions, restructuring and other strategic initiatives.
- Strengthening financial processes, systems and reporting to support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Providing leadership, mentoring and oversight to existing finance teams.
- Supporting commercial strategy, pricing, profitability and business performance.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking commercially minded finance leaders with significant experience operating at CFO or Finance Director level.
The successful candidates will bring:
- Extensive senior finance leadership experience, ideally including previous CFO, Finance Director or Fractional CFO appointments.
- Deep sector-specific expertise, with a strong understanding of the commercial dynamics, operating models and financial challenges within their specialist industries.
- Experience working across B2B and/or B2C business models, with the ability to apply relevant industry knowledge to different organisational environments.
- A proven track record of supporting business growth, financial transformation, operational improvement or strategic change.
- Strong financial planning and analysis capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance management.
- Experience advising CEOs, founders, Boards, shareholders and investors on financial and commercial matters.
- The ability to balance strategic financial leadership with hands-on delivery.
- Excellent communication, commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to establish credibility quickly and deliver meaningful impact within a flexible, part-time engagement.
We are particularly interested in individuals who have built their careers within a particular sector or developed substantial experience across related industries, enabling them to provide clients with both financial leadership and valuable domain expertise.
Pay: £600.00-£1,000.00 per day
