Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, commercially oriented Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead finance and accounts for a multi-brand, multi-location automobile dealership group.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with extensive hands-on experience in automobile dealership finance, strong operational understanding, and a proven ability to improve profitability, cash flow, working capital efficiency, and financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead group-wide finance, accounts, taxation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, treasury operations, and banking relationships.
- Oversee vehicle inventory funding, floor-plan finance, and OEM-related financial processes.
- Monitor dealership-wise profitability, margins, expenses, and key financial performance indicators.
- Ensure statutory compliance, tax planning, internal controls, and audit readiness.
- Establish robust financial reporting systems and controls across all dealership locations.
- Partner with business heads to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.
- Support strategic planning, financial risk management, and business growth initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) — mandatory.
- Industry Experience: Extensive experience in automobile dealership finance and accounts.
- Preferred Background: Multi-brand, multi-location dealership groups.
- Technical Expertise: Accounting, taxation, working capital management, inventory funding, banking, OEM operations, and statutory compliance.
- Leadership: Strong business partnering, analytical, team management, and decision-making skills.
