Community House Mental Health Agency is seeking a mission-driven executive who understands that strong financial stewardship, quality facilities, effective operations, and exceptional client care are deeply connected. The person in this role will help ensure that individuals experiencing mental illness, homelessness, housing instability, substance use disorders, and involvement with the legal system have access to safe housing, quality behavioral health services, and welcoming environments where they can thrive.
We are looking for a leader who understands the unique intersection of behavioral healthcare, affordable housing, facilities management, and nonprofit operations. The ideal candidate brings experience with affordable housing operations, including Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and HUD-funded properties, and understands how financial, operational, and facilities decisions affect both residents and staff. They understand that safe housing, functional facilities, and strong support systems are critical components of quality care.
This leader is equally comfortable reviewing financial statements, guiding organizational strategy, supporting directors responsible for housing, facilities, and administrative functions, and ensuring the systems, resources, and infrastructure necessary for high-quality services are in place. They recognize that every budget decision, facility investment, and operational process ultimately impacts the people we serve and the staff who serve them.
The successful candidate will combine strong business acumen with a genuine commitment to serving vulnerable populations. They are a strategic thinker, skilled operator, and trusted leader who can balance mission and sustainability while ensuring our properties, programs, staff, and finances remain strong, effective, and aligned with our mission. Most importantly, they are motivated by the opportunity to strengthen an organization that provides life-changing services and housing throughout our community.
At Community House Mental Health Agency, we strive to provide a supportive family atmosphere in Seattle and King County for people with severe and persistent mental illness. Each person who walks through our door has a unique story, and we believe that everyone deserves to feel welcomed and valued.
