Our client is seeking an experienced Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to lead their go-to-market strategy for our innovative predictive maintenance robot. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware sales, preferably with experience in government contracts. This role is crucial in driving their expansion into military, defense, manufacturing, and other sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement a comprehensive revenue strategy, focusing initially on government, transit and manufacturing markets. This includes identifying new opportunities, setting revenue targets, and forecasting.
- Manage key sales and business development activities, establishing relationships with high-value customers across target sectors. Craft tailored pitches for diverse clients to ensure market penetration and revenue growth.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships. Act as a senior point of contact for key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Work closely with product development team to relay customer feedback and market demands, guiding innovation.
- Lead contract negotiations with clients and partners; manage contract compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive strategies and messaging.
- Play a crucial role in fundraising efforts and investor relations, crafting compelling narratives about the startup's value proposition.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in hardware sales, with a minimum of 10 years experience in sales leadership roles.
- Experience with government contracts, particularly in the military and defense sectors.
- Understanding of predictive maintenance technologies and their applications in various industries.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful go-to-market strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience in scaling technology businesses beyond $20M in revenue.
