Job Title: Chief Financial Officer
Location: Remote, Florida-based
Compensation: $200,000–$220,000 base + bonus
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a strategic, growth-oriented Practice Chief Financial Officer to oversee financial operations and drive business performance across multiple physician practices throughout Florida. This executive will partner closely with Practice CEOs, physician leadership, and corporate executives to develop financial strategies, improve profitability, identify growth opportunities, and strengthen financial reporting capabilities.
The ideal candidate brings strong financial acumen, preferably developed through public accounting experience, exceptional executive presentation skills, and a demonstrated ability to translate financial data into actionable business strategies. This is a highly visible, finance-driven leadership opportunity within a rapidly growing, private equity-backed healthcare organization. The position is primarily remote, with approximately monthly travel for practice board and leadership meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the senior financial leader for multiple practices, overseeing P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and cost analysis.
- Partner with Practice CEOs and physician leaders to develop strategic business plans, identify expansion opportunities, drive revenue growth, and improve practice profitability.
- Build and implement meaningful financial and operational KPIs, executive dashboards, and standardized reporting processes to improve visibility into business performance.
- Analyze financial results, identify operational challenges, and develop actionable improvement strategies and turnaround plans for underperforming practices.
- Prepare executive-level PowerPoint presentations from scratch, communicating financial results, business plans, and strategic recommendations to physician partners, practice boards, and C-suite leadership.
- Evaluate potential investments, growth opportunities, and corporate initiatives through financial modeling, business case development, and strategic analysis.
- Oversee and develop existing practice-level finance and accounting teams, strengthening financial accountability, reporting consistency, and operational effectiveness.
- Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and physician compensation administration while identifying opportunities to strengthen financial controls and improve processes.
- Leverage NetSuite, Power BI, and other financial reporting tools to enhance financial analysis, reporting capabilities, and executive decision-making.
- Collaborate with practice leadership and corporate finance to align financial priorities, support organizational growth, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven strategic finance leadership experience with a strong emphasis on business growth, profitability, financial planning, and operational performance.
- Public accounting experience highly preferred, particularly exposure to multiple clients, business models, and financial operating environments.
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience managing P&L performance, developing financial models, analyzing business results, and identifying opportunities for margin improvement.
- Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills, including the ability to independently develop polished PowerPoint presentations and confidently present financial strategies and recommendations to C-suite executives and physician leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to establish financial and operational KPIs, develop dashboards, and translate complex financial information into actionable business insights.
