About the Role:
Under the close direction of Regional Director of Canada the Operations Coordinator is responsible for oversight and/or in support of key processes across all locations in Canada such as pricing, returns, branch management admin assistance (not HR), marketing assistance, customer service processes, etc. Our products are somewhat technical in nature and are sold as loose parts or assembled. Ideal experience would be understanding how hose and fittings, pipe/valve and fittings, cabling or electrical components fit together and what they do. However, if able to learn fast and are mechanically inclined this can be learned within the role. It is expected to interact with all team members and customers in a professional manner as one would expect within an industrial supply atmosphere and of course, according to company standards and adding sincere effort to a winning team!
Responsibilities:
- Learn and master the functionality of our ERP system P21 to eventually support Customer facing functionality with team members.
- Support sales team using Rubbertree CRM
- Manage price increases issued and upload special customer quotes where prices have been decided by the locations (not required to manage customer prices other than system maintenance on price increases and large quotes).
- Provide user support and solutions for our ERP system (P21) such as part number creation and changes, reporting for buying groups, update supplier and customer information and pricing programs as needed
- Act as a go between branch managers or sales leadership to implement growth project planning between Canada and USA marketing team.
- Unify the use of STAMPED and chemical resistance evaluation processes in customer service
- Promote employee teamwork and motivation, including employee recognition (Core Values)
- Co-Develop ideas that help improve customer service, systems and procedures
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area
- Champion implementation of Sales and Marketing programs and policies with external and internal teams. A strong understanding of marketing is beneficial.
- Ensure compliance with all company rules, policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Education/Certification: HS Diploma/GED or higher level of education. Bachelor’s degree in business discipline is preferred.
Required Skills:
- Familiarity with fittings, valves, clamps, fluid power, and plumbing products and markets
- Ability to complete written reports legibly and accurately
- Strong leadership skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- In-depth understanding of industrial supply and customer channels
- Comfortable using software intuitively such as P21, Monday, Rubbertree, etc.
- Strong excel and other Microsoft product skills
- Product knowledge or the ability to quickly learn it
- Knowledge of relationship building and maintenance
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with industrial wholesale distribution, preferably Industrial or Hydraulic Connection products in the Canadian Marketplace is preferred.
- Two or more years of Team leading experience or equal demonstration of readiness
- Familiar with S.T.A.M.P.E.D. as it relates to hose connections and applications
- Prior knowledge and use of Profit 21 business systems
- Highly intuitive with business software and app’s
- Industrial pipe or hose connections. Particularly thread and connection types.
Pay range and compensation package:
Salary highly dependent on experience.
