Job Overview:
The Sales Operations Specialist will play a key role in the pre-sales process, focusing on managing and expediting customer quote requests, while working closely with vendors to secure special pricing and deal registrations. This individual will also manage customer inquiries related to quotes, inventory, and post-sales needs. The position requires strong analytical skills for conducting market research and pricing analysis and is responsible for maintaining detailed customer profiles, providing visibility to potential issues, and ensuring pipeline accuracy for monthly sales forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming calls and respond promptly to customer quotes, inquiries, post-sales issues.
- Work closely with vendors to obtain special pricing and manage deal registrations.
- Analyze customer quote requests, ensuring quick turnaround by efficiently coordinating distribution requests.
- Conduct pricing analyses, and comparisons to establish effective pricing strategies.
- Build and maintain detailed account profiles for each customer, identifying opportunities for additional XIT Solutions offerings.
- Be knowledgeable about purchasing contracts and effectively leverage them to benefit the customer.
- Identify potential issues or challenges within the sales cycle and promptly communicate them to the Outside Sales Team.
- Ensure that the open opportunities pipeline is 100% up to date for accurate monthly sales forecasting.
- Assist with weekly and monthly reporting during the Sales Coordinator’s absence.
- Occasionally assist with creating and processing sales orders in the ERP system, transforming customer purchase orders into accurate, seamless transactions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of pre-sales operations and vendor coordination for special pricing.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and monotask.
- Exceptional time management skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems and sales order processing is a plus.
- Experience with ConnectWise, NetSuite, SmartSheets and ChannelOnline is a plus.
