About the Role
We're looking for our first Director of Retail Operations at Grüns! In this role, you will lead our Retail & Sales Operations for our emerging big-box retail partners. We are looking for someone with deep experience and knowledge in this world, who is excited to build and implement key processes that will scale with Grüns over the next several years.
This role is key to our success in the retail space and will have a significant impact on our company's growth and performance. Please note this is a US-based remote role reporting into our COO.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the function tasked with delivering operational excellence in our retail lines of business
- Develop and implement unique playbooks and SOPs for each retailer, managing requirements from order receipt to fulfillment
- Bring a culture of above-and-beyond client service to this area of the business by understanding retailer needs, maintaining compliance, meeting all requirements, and creating open lines of communication internally and externally
- Oversee the implementation of retail systems, including EDI connections and ensuring we meet RFID requirements
- Analyze our business on a regular basis, ensuring that we are achieving our performance goals, taking into account each retailer's requirements
- Manage supply and demand planning with a high degree of forecast accuracy
Qualifications
- 7+ years of retail operations experience; prior experience working on the brand side and liaising with big-box retailers such as Walmart, Target, Amazon, etc. is a must (experience with supplements a plus!)
- Deep understanding of and past experience working with EDI systems (SPS commerce/CRSTL)
- Prior demand planning experience and proficiency with relevant planning software
- Proven track record of strong communication and customer service when working with big-box retailers
- Past experience developing new processes and driving the process of onboarding new retail partners
- True ownership mindset when it comes to developing the function, providing great services, and finding win-win ways to meet both the company's and partner's goals
