Director of Ground Support - Mining and Tunnelling
- Global OEM providing equipment, servicing and ground support to mining and infrastructure.
- Lead an internal division responsible for the manufacture and sales of cable bolts, resins, grout, waterproofing and accelerating admixtures for underground environments.

Harry Maxwell has been engaged to conduct an executive search project for a dynamic and results-driven Business Manager to lead the Ground Support business for a global OEM across the ANZ Sales Area.
This role comes with full P&L accountability and is responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives, driving sales growth, enhancing manufacturing capabilities, and managing overall business performance.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business management within the industrial technology and OEM sector in mining and infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on strategic planning, sales leadership, and operational excellence.
Reporting to the Vice President APAC, this senior leadership role represents a great opportunity to make an impact on a business enjoying solid growth and results across APAC.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial performance of the ANZ Ground Support Business Line, including revenue growth, cost management, and profitability.
- Develop and implement the regional ‘go to market’ strategy, aligning with global objectives and market opportunities.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market segments within the ANZ Sales Area.
- Oversight of chemical manufacturing operations in Perth, Sydney and Kurri Kurri.
- Drive sales strategy and initiatives to achieve revenue targets and market share growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners.
- Provide regular updates to the Vice President, APAC on business performance, strategic initiatives, and market developments.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Strong experience in business management, with a focus on industrial technology and OEMs.
- Intimate understanding of the mining and infrastructure industries, including knowledge of key players, market dynamics, and operational challenges.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and motivating sales and operational teams.
- Manufacturing experience is viewed favourably.
- Strong reporting, budgeting, and planning skills.
- Experience negotiating commercial and contractual terms and conditions.
- Ability to travel domestically and overseas.
- Valid Driver's License and Rights to Work.
